Ambassador Outreach and Events
Both as a successful FLL team and as individuals, we hope to make significant contributions to our world, through learning, volunteering, creative thinking, reasoning, and problem solving in science and technology. The following lists some of the ways we are helping as Ambassadors to emphasize the fundamental cornerstones of the FLL Program and encourage an increase interest in science and technology.

FLL United States Open Championship; Dayton, Ohio; May 7 - 9, 2009
- The Turbulent Typhoons served at the FLL US Open Championship, in their roles as Ohio Ambassadors and referee assistants, welcoming and assisting the 60 teams from every championship tournament in the United States, as they competed in the US Open.
Blendon MS Robotics Engineering Information Night; Westerville, OH; 9/1/09
- The Turbulent Typhoons will demonstrate robotics technology and engineering at an informational meeting for new students and parents interested in the Robotics Engineering Challenge at Blendon Middle School.
Ohio School Boards Association Student Achievement Fair, 11/10 2009
- As selected participants in the OSBA Student Achievement Fair, the Turbulent Typhoons will demonstrate their technology and engineering accomplishments.

- Invited speaker, Dr. Susan Holland, STEM Education, and participants Turbulent Typhoons, Ohio FLL Ambassador Team in the OTEA Fall Conference, Professional Development Learning Session: FIRST/LEGO League Robotics Challenge: It's More Than Building Robots! Strategies to develop a new ethos for the 21st Century classroom and technological literacy, using a robotics curriculum will be presented.

- Invited speaker, Dr. Susan Holland, STEM Education, and participants Turbulent Typhoons, Ohio FLL Ambassador Team in ITEA/TECC Conference, TECC Professional Development Learning Session:STEM through Turbulent Times! How to use a robotics curriculum to help 21st century students make intelligent, ethical decisions. Strategies to develop thinking and reasoning skills, collaboration, and personal core values will be presented (Grades 4-6).
